How Much Water Should You Drink For Your Weight

Do you know that 70 percent of our inner system is water and only 30 percent anything else? Well based on that figure alone shows how important is water to our body. We all know that water is very important and at least half of the healthy benefits it will bring to us. This article will show you how much water you should drink according to your body weight.

The formula is very simple really. Every 1 litre of water equals to 25 kilograms of your body weight. For instance, if your current weight is 80 kgs, then you would need to consume at least 3 litres of water daily at the minimum. Plus, if you are doing any kind of working out as simple as going for a run or anything at all, you are going to need much more than 3 litres. How do you gauge whether you have been drinking enough water daily? Well, personally I keep mine in a 1 litre water container. I find it to be the best way for me to keep track of my water intake. Maybe you can try to do the same thing.

Here is a small table already calculated for your guidance.

  • 25kgs – 1 litres
  • 50kgs – 2 litres
  • 75kgs – 3 litres
  • 100kgs – > 3 litres

And that’s it. If you do find it hard to drink just plain water, be creative a bit! Add fruits in it like lemon, berries or cucumber without unnecessary sugar and calories.

It’s very good to make sure you always stay hydrated. So make sure you drink water regularly and if you find that hard too, make it like an obligation, and set small goals. Just remember the fact that 70 percent of our inner system is water. This alone will be a good motivational factor.
